Medicare
If you are eligible for a Medicare Mental Health Treatment Plan, you will receive 6 Medicare-rebated sessions (current rebate of $98.95), reducing your out-of-pocket cost. Following a MHTP review, you may be eligible to receive 4 additional sessions. To get a MHTP, book a longer consultation with your GP and ask them to prepare a Mental Health Treatment Plan by providing them our details.
Clients are required to pay the full session fee at the time of the appointment. If you have provided your MHTP to us, we can then make the patient claim on your behalf. The rebate will generally be paid into the bank account provided to Medicare in 1-2 business days.
Private Health Insurance
Private health insurers may rebate part of the cost of psychological consultations however your rebate amount will depend on your insurer and coverage. Contact your health insurance provider for further information.
Recommended Fees
The APS (Australian Psychological Society) publishes a recommended schedule of fees as a guide for psychologists providing private psychology services. The 2026-2027 Recommended Schedule of Fees has set the standard 45 to 60 minute consultation fee at $330.
